Telling Esports History, is a grand project, so let’s break down how we’re working towards that goal in 2024!
Phase 1 – Preparation
Date: October – Mid November
Project Link
Bringing all of the existing narratives and story lines into a nice and accessible place is something we want to work towards. This phase will start our steps towards that with coverage on social media, highlighting rising talent and covering the goings on in Tier 3 and GC.
We’ve spent the past month collecting data and planning things out, and project link will be a huge step forward in the coverage of the scene.
Building Game Changers
Our main 3 goals with BuildGC are simple:
- Track players/rosters competing in GC: Making it easier for orgs to find rosters to pick up, and helping us as a scene to better celebrate and remember the accomplishments of our teams and players.
- Mixed Events to put a spotlight on fem/non-binary players: This would hopefully bring more women/NB players onto rising rosters in Tier 3 and bring GC as a whole more recognition!
- Highlight videos covering GC events? We want to make recap videos before major events, get GC clips out on more social media platforms, and highlight the runs of exceptional players/teams. This will likely take the longest of any of our previous steps but will hopefully bring more viewers into the scene!
Phase 1 will see us focusing on Tracking Players/Rosters competing in GC.
Luxe Series / Luxe Proving Grounds
We had a pretty solid first season, free of any of the issues other leagues like Titans of Tier 3 ran into. While things were kept a smaller scale this season, the truly revolutionary changes that Luxe will bring are coming in the upcoming seasons. In this phase we plan to finish things strong, announce our changes for next season, and position things well for some unique off-season events.
While we have a full announcement in the works on season 2’s changes, here’s a sneak peak:
- Full website with full information on the teams / Schedule / Bracket
- Taking the Luxe Series from a tier 3 event to a show with big ruleset changes (More info on this to come soon đŸ‘€)
- Creating more upwards opportunities for teams and players in the Proving Ground to ascend to the Series
Jokestr League
As mentioned in our vision statement, our goal is to make this league a chance for lower-ELO players/teams to get started with in esports. Phase 1 will be outreach for this, and building up a solid list of teams in Platinum/Diamond/Ascendant for the beginning of our season.
Additionally, Phase 1 will be where we finally rebrand things in the league and introduce our new rule/format changes going forward.
Phase 2 – Ignition
Date: Late November – January
Project Link
This will be when we can hopefully show off Project Link in full, we promise this reveal will be worth the wait. In this phase, we’ll also work to put together our NA council and introduce more news-style content from us.
Building Game Changers
We’ll be getting started with our mixed events, the first one as a collaboration between Tenax and the Luxe Series, and a more regular schedule adapted after we see what can be changed/improved with that first event.
Luxe Series / Proving Grounds
We’ll be in full season 2 pre-season mode here, and you can look forward to pre-season content, first glimpses at the new Luxe website, and our new sponsors.
Jokestr League
Similar to Luxe, we’ll be building our pre-season here, locking in that season team list, and unveiling our new branding.
Rathouse Productions
We have some significant changes in the works here to not only highlight the talent in Valorant scene but hold TOs/orgs accountable.
Phase 3 – Liftoff
Date: January – February
From Project Link, to our Build GC content, everything we’ve been doing in the previous phases goes live now. Not many specifics here as what happens in our previous steps defines what this phase looks like.
Overall, these phases we’ll be a start on our mission to telling esports history.
